What is Wellness Based Yoga ?
Wellness Based Yoga is learning how to infuse the styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative and Gentle yoga with the philosophy of yoga, Ayurveda and The 5 Elements Theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine. (Add Power Yoga, Yin and Yoga Nidra to your 500 Hour Training). Our 200 & 500 Hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training Programs are for those who wish to pursue a career in wellness-based yoga or for certified teachers looking to deepen their knowledge, personal practice, personal growth and teaching skills.
As a Certified Wellness Based Yoga Teacher you will learn how to
Guide safe, creative and effective asana classes anchored in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy.
Teach themed pranayama (breath work) and meditation that align with your Ayurvedic and TCM sequencing.
Administer and guide your clients with both Ayurvedic and 5 Elements Theory Balancing Consultations.
Effectively and inspirationally weave traditional yoga philosophy into your asana classes.
What else is included?
Wellness Based Yoga is an asana (physical yoga class), taught with the infusion of personal development anchored in western psychology, Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine; which contains the elements of an effective asana class: movement, breath work (pranayama), hasta mudras (had positions) and meditation. The class style is considered Hatha; however vinyasa philosophy and restorative postures and sequencing are included.

HALI'S LIFE PURPOSE IS
To empower and inspire growth. She has been a consistent student of yoga since she was 17 years old, and she has been facilitating yoga education programs since 2007. She has made personal growth, yoga, fitness and psychology her passion. She has over 40,000 hours of training, and is an ERYT with The International Yoga Alliance.
As a Subconscious Restructuring Counsellor, Ayurveda Practitioner, and Facilitator at The Integrative Health Coach Institute, Hali combines the Eastern Modalities (Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine) with Western Psychology Philosophies to deliver a well-rounded, life-enhancing dynamic experiential learning environment, where each students receives exactly what they need. You will not only leave your training with tools to enhance your teaching, but with interpersonal tools that you can use to live your most powerful life, enhance your relationships and expand your communication skills.

A NO LIMITS APPROACH
Hali took 7 years to study asana sequencing, and has created a unique format based on posture categorization that will support the creation of safe, creative and sensible sequence building for vinyasa, hatha, gentle, power yoga, restorative and yin yoga classes.
ANCIENT PRACTICE, MODERN FORMAT
Hali’s updated virtual training format allows you to study the ancient practice of yoga in a modern format. Your training will include a combination of live presentations, held over Zoom, pre-recorded material, online (printable) presentations, intentional journaling assignments, partner work, and unlimited support. In the 200 hour program, you will study 116 Yoga Asana, with the infusion of modern, physiotherapy based yoga anatomy and physiology; in the 500 hour, you will add restorative and yin yoga.
LIFELONG MENTORING, LIFELONG ACCESS
Hali’s training platform provides lifelong mentoring and lifelong program module and previously recorded meditations, videos or podcast access. Live recordings will be available for 6 months, and then deleted, due to privacy respect.
Hali continues to study, and gather tools and is committed to passing those tools on to you (at NO additional cost!). Once you have signed up for Hali’s training, you will receive updates as to when a program modules has been updated. Along the way, if you have a question or wish to get feedback on your asana classes, you can reach out and that will be arranged! Again - at NO additional cost!).
